Description
Narrow plantain (Plantago lanceolata) is a perennial plant that occurs naturally in Europe and large parts of Asia. The plant grows along roadsides, on grasslands and in verges and is known for its narrow, ribbed leaves and characteristic spike-shaped inflorescence.
The herb is harvested during the growing season and carefully dried to preserve its aroma and colour. Ribwort plantain has a fresh, green aroma and a mildly spicy flavour with a slight bitter note. It combines well with other leafy herbs in infusions and traditional herbal tea blends.
