Description
Horsetail (Equisetum arvense), also known as field horsetail, is one of the oldest plant genera on earth. This remarkable plant grows in many parts of Europe and Asia and has been harvested since ancient times. With its recognisable, finely branched stems and fresh green colour, horsetail has a strong botanical identity.
When dried and steeped, horsetail produces a spicy, slightly grassy infusion with a subtle earthy undertone. Thanks to its mild character, horsetail is often combined with other herbs, but it can also be used on its own to make a calm, natural herbal drink.
In traditional herbal cultures, horsetail was valued as part of the general repertoire of everyday herbs. Today, it is mainly drunk for its neutral taste and its use in classic European herbal blends.
This horsetail is cut and suitable for use in herbal teas, infusions or as a botanical ingredient in homemade blends.
