Yue Guang Bai 'Moonlight White' – organic white tea
Yue Guang Bai is a very special tea, both in terms of the appearance of the dry tea and the infusion in the cup. One side of the leaf is white, the other black.
The tea is picked early in the spring and lightly wilted at night ("Moonlight White") and then dried with warm air passed through the leaves.
The infusion has the colour of a light 'black oolong'. The taste is surprisingly versatile, sweet and malty, but also floral and fresh, with a distinct Yunnan character. There are elements of white, oolong and black tea present.
