Nettle (Urtica dioica) is one of the most well-known and versatile plants in Europe. The young leaves are harvested in spring, carefully dried and used as a herbal base for teas and infusions.
Nettle has a full, earthy flavour with a soft green note, reminiscent of spinach and green herbs. The herb combines well with lemongrass, mint or chamomile, for example, and forms a balanced base in countless blends.
