Eyebright (Euphrasia officinalis) is a small, herbaceous plant that grows naturally in flower-filled meadows and on mountain slopes in Europe. It belongs to the broomrape family and is recognisable by its delicate, white-violet flowers with yellow accents.
Eyebright has a fresh, green aroma with a slight spiciness; its flavour is mild, clear and slightly grassy. In herbal tea, it provides a balanced, fresh note that goes well with herbs such as chamomile, cornflower or lemon balm.
