Description
The Moringa tree (Moringa oleifera), known in India as Sigru or Drumstick Tree, is a fast-growing tree that occurs naturally in South Asia and Africa. Almost all parts of the tree are traditionally used — the leaves, seeds, flowers and pods.
The dried leaves are often processed into herbal tea or ground into powder, which is used in various dishes and drinks. As an infusion, moringa has a mild, earthy flavour with a slightly spicy note. Brewed pure or combined with herbs such as lemongrass or mint, it makes a pleasant, full-bodied herbal tea.
