Assam Satrupa Tippy SFTGFOP1 – organic black tea
Assam Satrupa Tippy, 'Tea with White Tips', as is sometimes requested.
The white tips refer to the unopened tea leaf at the top of the picked tea buds. The small white hairs on this tip give it a white, silvery, fluffy appearance after drying. In other tea varieties or variations in the processing steps, the tips are more golden in colour, as in this Assam.
SFTGFOP1 stands for Special Finest Tippy Golden Flowery Orange Pekoe, with the extra 1 for the finest, most special quality within this grade.
