Description
The Muh blend is inspired by old winter spice mixtures that were used in Central Europe to flavour wine, beer or water during the dark months of the year.
Although the name 'Muh' often has a medieval sound, it is probably a later corruption of words such as Muttergewürz or Muthtrank — homely, warming drinks that people drank to ward off the cold and lift their spirits.
The scent of orange and cinnamon immediately evokes a feeling of comfort, while juniper and cloves add a fresh, resinous depth. The result is a full, spicy balance that works well in winter teas, herbal infusions or as a base for mulled wine-style drinks.
