Deliciously fragrant, spicy, organic spice blend for making your own Glühtea, Glühjuice and/or Glühwein.
Suggestions for use:
– Glühtea: pour 4 g of Glühwein Spices together with 4 g of a “regular tea” (unflavored green, black or pu erh tea or possibly rooibos or honeybush) with 1 L of boiling water, steep for 4-8 minutes, pour. Add sugar to taste.
– Glühjuice: bring 500 ml of grape juice or a mixture of 250 ml of grape and 250 ml of apple juice together with 10-15 g of Glühwein Spices to a boil, simmer gently for 10 minutes, pour in. The variant with only grape juice is sweeter.
– Glühwein: 500 ml of sweet red wine (e.g. from the grape varieties Aleatico, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Grenache or Moscato Nero) or red cooking wine together with 10 g of Glühwein Spices bring to just below the boil, keep gently just below the boil for 10 minutes, add 40-60 g of sugar, stir well, pour.
– You can hang the Glühwein Spices in a generously sized T-sac or tea infuser in the juice or wine, or add it loose, but strain it when pouring.
– Some of the ingredients in Glühwein Spices bring a “dry mouthfeel.” Many people like this (tonic, dry wine), others a little less. As the juice or wine is sweeter and/or more sugar is added, the dryness decreases. A matter of taste!
