Block bottom bags with grip closure – 3L

Kraft-colored block bottom bags, in a three-layer material (Kraft paper / BOPA / PE) with excellent barrier properties for storing tea, herbs, spices, etc.

Features a convenient grip closure for easy (re)sealing. Also sealable with a “serious” sealing device. Seal about 1 cm below the top of the bag, so that the customer can easily remove the seal with the tear aid (notch) and be left with an excellent resealable storage bag.

Dimensions: 180mm wide, 300mm high, maximum depth when fully unfolded bottom surface 90mm.

Capacity: 3.0 liters

This makes these bags great for packing, for example, 500g of tea of an average coarseness. In fact, most of the loose teas we sell have a volume of 3.5-4.5 liters per kg. Many leaf and flower herbs (such as nettle, peppermint, chamomile) and white teas have a volume that is usually more than twice as large. So less of that fits in these bags, about 250g.

Finally, one more note for those customers who are used to stand-up pouches/doypacks: these block bottom pouches, due to the combination of the side gusset and the grip closure, have a somewhat narrower fill opening than a doypack of similar content but have the major advantage that they “stand up” much better and can be boxed more efficiently (like “bricks”).
